New Zealand

i'm just starting to get used to the blogspot system.
i don't really like their uploader. the pictures are pretty small
even if it's set up at large, and if you start resizing pictures it gets all distorted.

dad went back yesterday. I've been in NZ for a week now.
It's pretty nice here in the hostel. Everyone's really friendly in showing you around and all.
used the washing machine for the first time in my life.

didn't end up with pink socks
so that's good

Indulged in the fresh peaches which only cost 2 ringgit here.
We lived near the school at a motel, which are more common here compared to hotels.

this is mount Eden. It's a dormant volcano.
People sometimes go down into it and leave
cute messages, though you aren't actually allowed to.

one tree hill.
they apparently chopped down the tree some time ago.

First thing we did there was open a bank account
at the national bank so i can get my own atm card.
oh yeap i'm officially 18.

besides wearing long sleeved shirts under the hot blistering sun,
another thing i noticed around here in NZ.
is that it's much easier to get personalised license plates here.
So i'll start collecting to them on a day to day basis.
told my dad to stop on the side of the road because i wanted
to get shots of the avril lavigne-like plaid car.

While we were there, we visited and had dinner with a bunch of my dad's old friends.
Some fo them will be my legal guardians who would be going
to authorise most of my permission slips while i’m staying over here.

oh btw, I am currently staying at a hostel right next to the school
called Epsom House. There's about probably 60+ girls living here.
most of them are locals that live at the south of NZ.
the other asian i know around here is korean ,she speaks english well.
there are like 3 asians in the hostel but lots in school.
activities are planned out during weekends to keep us preoccupied.
like we've got a lantern festival and the zoo organised this weekend.
mostly for the new students.

We have a pretty strict curfew of 5pm.
because dinner is at 5.30pm.

while dad was here we got around with a rented car.
so it was pretty easy to roam the streets.
still getting used to seeing everything closing in the early evening.

3 nz dollared sushi.
man doing sudoku at toast box.

anyway more pictures up soon.
these are only from the first day i was here.
so plenty more coming.

miss you all back in malaysia and everyone else around the world.

U-Haul

i think for blogging purposes i'd need to come to blogspot as xanga is currently being blocked by the school. the school and the hostel share the same network so i can't go to xanga either in the hostel. so blogspot it'll be. posts up soon. miss you all back in malaysia.
